New Area!

I am back in the mountains!! It is much cooler up here!!! Its sad. Last might it was in the 80's and I was cold. Dang valley thinned my blood!!! Oh well!! It is beautiful up here!!! I love it! I am white-washing again!!! so that is fun. I love and hate white-washing! \
I don't know how the mail stuff works here yet, so just send any letters to the mission office!!
Colin happy birthday!!! I hope you have a great birthday!
It is weird how much things change in a year! Its also weird the think that this time last year I was still in the MTC... missions are weird! Good weird, but weird! The people you meet and the fun you have is unlike anything else. I love it! I don't ever want it to end!! Of course I miss home, but I love it here!
My last area really became like home because I was there for so long! I was there for over 7 months and the members there became like family! Even though the work was slow, I loved it! I'm excited to go back and visit after my mission!
I am in Payson. I am covering one ward. We live with other sisters, which really isn't my favorite, but oh well at least the place is nice-ish! I drive a Chevy Cruise, which i hate!!! the 2014 Cruise and Jetta are poop!!! The acceleration and braking are so dumb!!!! I hope and pray I don't get in to an accident!!! As I'm sure everyone does, but yeah don't get those cars unless you enjoy life or death thrills. The drive up here is so beautiful! A little scary for a pretty unexperienced driver, but we made it alive! They are just curvy roads on mountains, so they go up and down!!! Not my favorite, but it could be worse! It is very slow pace up here. The speed limit doesn't go above 35 mph up here which is not what I am use to at all!!! The valley is all fast pace!!! Payson looks kind of like home the valley acts kind of like home! Arizona drivers are terrible though!!! Like Utah drivers, if not worse, because they all have nice cars (in the valley at least). I am in a little bit of culture shock!!! Small town is weird again! I was use to it when I was up here before, but I forgot how slow it really is!! I like it though! We heard that they have some awesome hikes in the area! So that is exciting!!!!
My new comp is Sister Isert (like insert but without the n, kind of) she is sweet! I like her!
That is pretty much it for me! Lots of new things happening in life, I am excited to be up here again! I'm excited to go to the temple again soon!
What is new at home? I would love to see more pictures of everyone! Just through email if that is easier. I hear a lot about Riley, which I love, but I have a big family and a few friends... So how is life?

Are you going to the temple? Are you helping your missionaries? Are you doing family history work? If yes, good. If not get started! You all have a family history consultant!!!
I hope you all have a great week! I love you and pray for you all!!! Be safe!

Time is a weird thing...

Man, oh man, I love it here.

Interviews with President Sweeney went really well. He is the best!

Keep in mind that transfers are coming up. On the 13th of May. So be prepared. I really don't know what to expect from the transfer. We will find out in a few weeks though!

I'm pretty excited to see all you people at Mothers Day! It seems like it has been forever since Christmas, but then again it seems like I just left home... Time is a weird thing!!!

How is everyone doing? I bet all the kiddos are excited to be done with school for a while! What are the fun summer plans?

It is getting hot here. Its so nice! It is such a different spring than I am use to. Its still pretty though.

We heard a rattle snake the other day! Didn't see it but heard it and ran!!!

Did you get my package I sent home a few weeks ago. It had meds and skirts in it? I don't remember if you said you got it.

Also I didn't write any letters last week because I am lame. I will write some today though!!!

Life is great. Don't forget that. Stop getting caught up in the little dumb things of life and just live. Enjoy the world we have been given. Enjoy the blessings you have and share them with everyone! Share the gospel with everyone and I promise your life will be blessed!!! Just have fun! Be yourself!

I love you all!

Zoo, Singing, and Meetings with President Sweeney!

This morning we went to the Phoenix Zoo. It was so hot!!! But it was really fun! The zoo is not the best I've seen, but it was fun to do something different! I got to feed stingrays :)

Mom and dad, I got the packages from you! Dad, thank you for the music!!! Mom, thank you for the skirts!!! I really love the orange one!!!

I am working on getting in better shape. We have a sister in our ward who is a personal trainer and she is going to help me get my butt and legs looking great!!!

Life is good!

I am so happy that Elder Molinaro got his visa! Only, it is going to make transfer meetings a little less exciting! Qh well, I know he is so excited!

The mission is great! We had 3 investigators at church Sunday! It was great, and Sister Baham and I sang in the ward choir! I love singing, I really do! I wish life was a musical and we all just broke out in song randomly!!!

Easter was great! Only one dinner, which was so nice! It was really fun, but totally didn't feel like Easter, which is actually kind of sad considering it is one of the most important holidays.

We have interviews and inspections this week. We get to meet with President Sweeney, and our car guy will come look at our cars. I love this day! I am so excited to see President again! He is so great! He is a Poppy type of person! Just so kind and loving.

I love pineapple. I use to hate it, but now I love it! The only bad thing is I eat it until my mouth is raw. That is not so fun, but I can't get enough of it! I also think that I have a gluten intolerance anytime I eat wheat I feel SO sick! SO I am trying to cut back on my gluten intake, but that is hard to do when members feed you! All the pasta is gonna kill me! Oh well, at least we don't have to feed ourselves!

The weather is nice, just hot :) I am so thankful for sunblock! The sun really does just beat here!!!

Missionary work is going to get weird here soon! No one is outside during the day! If we were in a foreign mission we would maybe get siestas but not here... its still fun though!!

Question for Stewart: Where did you find the song you had me sing in gospel doctrine before I left? I want it and I have some friends that want it.

I love you all :) I miss you and hope you are all doing well!!!

Be safe and smart!

Go to church and love the gospel!!!!

Love,
Sister Yates

PS!!! I also got to help at the Easter Pageant! I saw people I knew from my last area and so many missionaries I knew. I also got to see it once! I was so happy to see it! It was so great!!!!

Prayers to Georgia

I hate receiving sad news. At our last transfer meeting, Elder Molinaro and I talked about the sadness that has come into our ward since we left. Too much! At least Little Duncan is out of pain and in a much better place. Still sad. Shauna and AJ are literally the strongest people I know though. (Visit http://doitforduncan.wordpress.com/ or http://giggledays.com/ to donate, support, or follow the Campbell's) I always loved watching their kids, not only because I truly love the kiddos, but also because I knew that I would get to hang out with them for a minute after they got back from whatever they were doing and I would be able to learn from them! I have been able to learn so much from them!!! They are amazing! Prayers your way!!!

This week has been fun! Lots of laughs and good times! It flew bye!

It is crazy how when you are down and having a rough time Heavenly Father is there to pick you up! Every time! What a blessing! I am so grateful for the gospel and to be blessed with the knowledge I have, and we have as members of the church. More and more as my mission goes on, I realize that I am so blessed! Is life easy, no, but it is great! Always remember that. Don't get bogged down in the little things. Move forward and love life. Love family and friends. Make the most of your time here on earth. Yes, the next part of our existence is even better, but we don't know when that will come. So have fun. Live while you can. Be smart and love!

That is my advise for today! Along with go to church, read the Book of Mormon, and pray everyday to Heavenly Father!

How are all of you doing? What is new in life? I am doing well! Just livin' the mission dream! The weather is great and it is beautiful! This morning some other missionaries and I hiked Black Mountain and next Momday we are hiking Camelback Mountain! I am so excited!

Last Thursday we went to the Mesa Temple and did a session! It was beautiful! There was a new video!!! It was good. The temple was pretty cool.
A lot different than other temples I've been in, but still great! I really do like it here. Its hard work, but I love it.

I hope you all have an amazing week! Know that I love you and that I am praying for you! Be wise in all that you do and love life!

Love,
